SyncFortune Terms of Service

1. Purpose

These Terms govern the conditions of use of the mobile application SyncFortune (the “Service”) provided by SyncFortune (the “Operator”), and the rights and obligations of users and the Operator.

2. Nature of the Service & Disclaimer (Important)

  1. All fortune content provided by the Service (Saju, Zi Wei Dou Shu, Tarot, daily fortune, compatibility, etc.) is entertainment and reference content based on traditional East Asian fortune-telling and astrology culture.
  2. Fortune results are not medical, health, legal, financial, investment, or career advice or diagnosis of any kind, and do not predict or guarantee future facts.
  3. Users must use fortune results for reference only. Important decisions regarding health, finances, career, etc. must be made based on the user’s own judgment and consultation with relevant professionals.
  4. The Operator is not responsible for any decisions or actions taken by users based on fortune results, or for any consequences arising therefrom.

3. Accounts

  1. Some features (saving readings, purchasing paid passes) require sign-up (email or social login).
  2. Users are responsible for providing accurate information and keeping their accounts secure.
  3. Users may delete their account and related data at any time via Settings > Delete Account in the app.

4. Paid Services & Payment

  1. Some content (in-depth readings, premium, per-area passes) is paid and provided through Apple App Store in-app purchases.
  2. Payment, billing, and refunds follow Apple App Store policies; refund requests must be made directly to Apple. The Operator does not hold payment method information (card numbers, etc.). Paid readings and Premium are digital content generated and viewed immediately upon purchase; by their nature they are generally non-refundable once access has begun (except where required by applicable law or Apple App Store policy).
  3. Once purchased and viewed, content is retained for one (1) year from the date of purchase for that chart/item, and re-viewing the same content within this period is not charged again. After the retention period (1 year) elapses, the stored reading is deleted, and re-purchase is required to access it again. The retention period applies per content (reading). However, one-time consumable items (e.g., follow-up questions, dream interpretation) are not subject to retention and are delivered upon generation.
  4. Passes belong to the purchasing account. Passes bought while logged out are transferred to the user’s account upon login, with the user’s consent.
  5. Stored readings are linked to the relevant chart (Saju information). If a user deletes a chart in the app, the paid readings linked to that chart are deleted along with it. As this is a deletion by the user’s own choice, re-registering the same or a new chart to access it again requires re-purchase, which is non-refundable.

5. User Obligations

Users must not:

  1. Reverse-engineer the Service, use abnormal automated access, or improperly bypass payment/pass gates;
  2. Register or misuse another person’s account or personal information (e.g., birth data) without consent;
  3. Engage in any act that interferes with the normal operation of the Service.

6. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property in the Service — content, design, reading-generation logic, and interpretation materials — belongs to the Operator. Users may use it for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

7. Changes / Suspension of Service

The Operator may change the Service or temporarily suspend it due to force majeure or technical reasons, with notice where reasonably possible.

8. Limitation of Liability

  1. Except as required by applicable law, the Operator is not liable in connection with the use of free services.
  2. Per Section 2, the Operator does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of fortune results.

9. Changes to These Terms

The Operator may amend these Terms within the bounds of applicable law, with notice of the effective date and changes in the app or on this page.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are interpreted under the laws of the Republic of Korea.
